[Ripon, Wisconsin, March 28, 2019] Three members of the Alliance Laundry Systems North American Marketing Team joined dozens of others in volunteering at two free laundry events in Miami.
Sponsored by the LaundryCares Foundation, Free Laundry Days are a way for vended laundry owners to give back to the communities they serve. The events offer free wash and dry cycles, refreshments, educational opportunities, door prizes, children’s activities and more. The most recent Free Laundry Day was held March 25 at two My Sunny Laundry locations in the Miami area.
“To be perfectly honest, between the smiles and appreciation attendees showed, this was one of the more rewarding activities I’ve been involved with. It feels great to give back,” said Luis Roedan, social media manager for Alliance Laundry Systems.
Franchella Ales, social media specialist at Alliance, echoed Roedan. “It is quite gratifying to get out into a laundromat and support the great work that the LaundryCares Foundation is doing.” Jennifer Lacayo, Alliance marketing communications specialist agreed as well, “it’s easy to see that these events clearly make a difference for people.”
Several hundred attendees and dozens of volunteers took part in the recent Free Laundry Day in Miami, which included food, free books and children’s activities such as face painting, free soap and more.
The LaundryCares Foundation was created by the Coin Laundry Association. It was established as a charitable foundation (501c-3) which is administered by CLA. The mission of the foundation is to provide laundry services and education to those in need.
